Bay Area Freshmen 10 - 2011

Matt Werner  of thizzler.com gave me the idea to start campaigning for a spot of the Bay Area Freshmen 10 list. At first I was hesitant, but it became clear that this was a huge promotional opportunity the more I thought about it. I'm on the grind. And I would be a fool to let me confidence blind me from something that could help my career.

They stop taking nominations April 9th, so make sure you nominate me via facebook or twitter. Winners will be announced April 15th.

Go to: http://on.fb.me/hKfdO7 and "like" the page then post: I want to nominate PEOPLES Bay Area Freshman 10 - 2011

LA Times pt. 2

I just got back from another trip to LA. Once again I had a great time. Got a chance to build with a bunch of great producers while I was out there which was a boost. My manager got a call from our boy Mike of 9Five Eyewear while I was out there. He said he wanted to shoot a video for "Keep Your Head To The Sky" in December! I'm juiced because I had always hoped that song would be my first video. God is so real.

There was some question as to whether or not "Keep Your Head To The Sky" and "Day In The Life" would make the final track list of Believing In Greatness. Both songs were produced by the incredible Tycoon Beats. Without getting in to detail, all I will say is that the phone call from Mike saved the day. Now the homie Tycoon and I are working on a group project that will be released next summer. Like I said... God is real.

What The World Made Me

Look at that picture...

We all have those pictures that we look at that make use wonder how we got to where we're at in life. There are those moments that were captured before our innocence was lost. This is one of mine.

There is a song on Believing In Greatness called "What The World Made Me" that's more or less a reflection of how I became who I am. Because I often stair at this picture and wonder what happened.

And you can't tell me I wasn't the best looking baby ever... just sayin.

KLS Classic by 9 Five Eyewear

Check out these new shades from the homies at 9 Five... I need to buy stock in this company I swear...

I've seen everyone from Sasha Grey to Lil Wayne rocking 9Fives. They are one of the dopest labels out right now. It's weird because they get mainstream love but they are super underground. Me and the homie Jericho went to college with  one of company owners, so I guess my opinion is biased but whatever... they are dope and I'm not the only one who thinks so. Google them and find out for yourself...

LA Times

Just looking at the Los Angeles sky line is motivation for me. This city can change your life in such a short amount of time. But you have to be the type of person that believes that they have the ability to be greater than their current situation. Its one of the last places where the American Dream is truly alive. Impossible is nothing in the city of angels.

Movies like Menace To Society and Boyz In The Hood only show one side of LA. You have to experience the city first hand. That's all I can tell you. There is something for everyone in LA.

Just make sure you don't walk down Crenshaw Blvd wearing the wrong color. Not a good look. Holla!
